What to book: The Artist in the Apartment

The Connaught hotel has collaborated with Green & Stone to launch a unique artistic project in its penthouse suite

Sometimes, a little relaxation is all it takes to get creative – and where better to unleash your inner artist than in the peaceful surroundings of the Connaught’s elegant penthouse suite? The Mayfair hotel has teamed up with the London art supplier Green & Stone to launch its Artist in the Apartment project, which offers guests staying in its sixth-floor suite the chance to experiment at the easel while enjoying panoramic views of Mayfair.

Anyone staying in the Apartment – a David Collins-designed space reminiscent of a collector’s private home – is invited to don a monogrammed artist’s apron and let their imagination run free, with the help of high-quality art materials selected by Green & Stone, including watercolour paints, gold-plated brushes with teak handles and charcoal sketching pencils.

If the sight of a blank canvas fills you with fear, help is at hand: Green & Stone can organise professional coaching during your stay, or can even arrange for a professional artist to draw your portrait in the room, for the perfect holiday keepsake.

The package is available to all guests staying in the Apartment; price on request. To book, ring +44 (0) 20 7107 8945.
