An online auction of unique experiences and special art and design commissions will be held in aid of Women for Women International from 29 October.
The curated collection will be listed during the three-week-long #SheInspiresMe Auction: 20 Unique Experiences, which will culminate in an invite-only live auction and reception at Sotheby’s in London at the end of November.
Included in the auction is a sensational two-metre-tall sculpture by Philippa Craddock from the V&A’s ‘Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up’ exhibition. The work is formed from hundreds of silk flowers that create a magnificent headpiece in homage to the artist.
Also available is an exceptional trio of culinary experiences: a three-course meal for four guests at Angela Hartnett’s Michelin-starred Mayfair restaurant Murano; a dinner for two at Yotam Ottolenghi’s newly opened Fitzrovia venue, Rovi; and an exclusive cookery masterclass for 10 with Thomasina Miers, the co-founder of the Mexican restaurant Wahaca.
