Bubbledogs hosts afternoon tea for a man’s best friend

Treat your canine companion to a doggy snack and a glass of bubbly at the Fitzrovia venue

To celebrate the launch of their new doggy-themed hot dogs, Bubbledogs is hosting a canine-friendly afternoon tea party for all of their furry friends (owners also welcome). The founders of the champagne and hot dog restaurant, who have revolutionised the role of the humble frankfurter, have created a menu paying tribute to the nation’s most-beloved pet.

Modelled on their four-legged namesakes, the hot dogs will include: The German Shepherd, The Mutt, The Bichon Frise and The Greyhound. Toppings vary from peanut butter paired with cheddar cheese and bacon bits to homemade piccalilli and apple slaw, as well as brie with cornichon relish and Dijon mustard, and grilled sauerkraut with honey mustard beer sauce. Specially selected champagne will be flowing for all two-legged guests, while pups will be treated to a selection of homemade doggy snacks.

The new menu will be available all day on 8th August and will continue to be served for the rest of the month. One pound from each dish purchased will go towards Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

Founder and menu-creator Sandia Chang, says ‘Paxo, our resident dog and canine recipe tester, has helped with the doggy-themed hot dog menu. Dogs are always more than welcome at the restaurant, we love to meet our guests and the wonderful community of dog owners that we have in London, but it’s even better to be doing it for a good cause.’
