The fifth annual edition of Goffs London Sale, a unique auction that gives more than 1,200 guests from around the world the opportunity to buy top-quality horses in training and breeding stock, will take place in the spectacular setting of Perks Field at Kensington Palace.

A highlight of the annual equestrian calendar, the sale falls just ahead of Royal Ascot, kicking off a much-anticipated season of racing. Leading owners, trainers, breeders and agents will present premium thoroughbreds to an audience of invited potential buyers, who will also enjoy fine food from Selfridges and wine from Château Léoube.

The auction has an impressive track record, with previous years’ success stories including 2014’s £1.3m sale of Coventry stallion Cappella Sansevero, who finished a close second at Royal Ascot the very next day, and 2016’s sale of the Irish 1000 Guineas winner Jet Setting for £1.3m to China Horse Club, making him Europe’s highest-priced horse in training. The stakes will be raised even higher for 2018, with mares in foal to elite stallions, freshman sires and well-bred older fillies all in the line-up.

Goffs London Sale 2018, in association with QIPCO, takes place on 18 June at Perks Field, Kensington Palace Gardens. Entry to the auction is by invitation only, but prospective buyers are encouraged to contact Goffs on +35345886600 or sales@goffs.ie.
