Held at RHS Lawrence and Lindley Halls, this London event celebrates the coming of the new season

Autumn brings with it a wealth of glorious colours, tastes and textures – and to celebrate, the Royal Horticultural Society is launching a show to help gardeners make the most of the season.

Visitors can expect inspiration from the Electric Daisy Flower Farm, this year’s RHS Floral Artist in Residence, which will present a beautifully blooming installation, and from the internationally acclaimed landscape designer Paul Hervey-Brookes, who will exhibit an updated version of a garden created for RHS Chatsworth earlier this year. Elsewhere, there will be talks from horticultural experts, advice on seasonal planting, and hands-on workshops on everything from floral design to autumn leaf-crafting and micro-green sowing.

In honour of harvest time, the designer Jon Davies will create an indoor foraging forest installation full of edible delights, and visitors will also be able to participate in foraging tours to find and sample nature’s bounty for themselves. Afterwards, enjoy a relaxed dining experience courtesy of the team behind Chelsea’s wild-food restaurant Rabbit, who will serve sustainably sourced, seasonal food and cocktails.

Finally, expect shopping opportunities galore, from home and garden accessories to flowers, bulbs and rare plants stocked by growers such as The Botanic Nursery, Plantbase and Harperley Hall Farm Nurseries

The RHS Autumn Garden Show runs from 25 to 26 October, with a preview ‘Lates’ event on 24 October, at RHS Lawrence and Lindley Halls, London. Tickets cost £5 for RHS members, and £6 in advance or £9 on the day for non-members.
