T&C tests: Exhale at Third Space

Start the new year with a few long, deep breaths…

Three cheers for celebrity-favourite Third Space, which has introduced a brilliant new concept, Exhale, just in time to give you that January fitness boost.

The award-winning club’s ‘Mind and Body’ master trainer Clare Walters has curated an hour-long class that combines Hatha flow yoga, meditation and the all-important breath-work that so many of us fail to think about during our busy lives. Each Third Space trainer leading ‘Exhale’ has been trained by the master yogi Michael J Wong to maintain a consistent level of expertise throughout the series.

The class starts with 10 minutes of guided diaphragmatic breathing; then keeping this slow, deep breath, muscles are unlocked through a yoga sequence that concentrates on opening your hips, to prepare the body to be able to sit comfortably during the final meditation. Thanks to an immediate drop in cortisol and adrenalin levels in your body, you’ll leave feeling calm, focussed and ready to start the year as you mean to go on.
