If you’ve ever wondered what goes into becoming a Royal Warrant holder, the Connaught’s new series of walking tours will appeal to you.

Organised in collaboration with the leading historical guide outfit Fox & Squirrel, the hotel’s four tours will delve into the mysteries of bespoke tailors, milliners and perfumers, each holding the esteemed title of “by Royal Appointment”.

Themed around travel, the social season, Savile Row and craftsmen, each expedition will offer you the chance to speak to Royal Warrant artisans and see previously unseen, centuries-old artefacts, not to mention pick up historical titbits about our best-loved luxury brands.

We will be joining the Adventure, Travel & Exploration tour to discover the history of the Burberry trench-coat and how it came to be worn by explorers around the world.

Walks start at the Connaught at 4pm and take place on the last Thursday of every month. Each walk costs £125 pounds a person and includes a special gift on arrival and a glass of champagne and canapés at the Connaught post-walk. For more information visit
