Earrings that defy gravity, plus stylish sunglasses and fresh florals

Gravity earrings by Guy & Max These one-of-a-kind, spectacular earrings are the debut piece in the brand’s new Forces of Nature range. The cleverly balanced interlocking components swing in isolation, with a truly mesmerising pendulum effect, putting them at the top of my wish list.

Skin sunglasses by EB Meyrowitz These bespoke shades from the Royal Arcade boutique on London’s Old Bond Street come in a variety of colours and skins, including decadent red python and – my favourite – nude alligator.

Absolute Flowers I loved receiving one of this company’s gorgeous bouquets of white flowers; send a bunch to someone special, no matter what the occasion.

Positivitea The wonderful new collection includes seven chakra teas – I like the hibiscus and cinnamon – and three chi chai blends, all available via an online subscription and at Fenwick and Urban Outfitters.

Farmer’s Market Sweets These orange, watermelon and grapefruit sweets come in paper baskets usually reserved for fresh berries, and make a great gift. Order yours from Olive and Cocoa.

Wild blueberries from Joshpond.com It’s summer, so naturally you need five pounds of blueberries to make smoothies and pancakes for all of your guests. Don’t forget they are super-high in fibre, Vitamin C and antioxidants.

The Starving Artist Cookbook by Sara Zin (WW Norton & Company) A great back-to-basics book full of gorgeous illustrations and simple, old-fashioned recipes such as roast chicken and oatmeal cookies.
